The Dolly Parton Imagination Library
Reading 20 minutes everyday to a child is one of the most powerful ways to ensure a child’s readiness to succeed upon entering school. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library mails a new age appropriate book every month until a child’s 5th birthday. Every child age birth to five years old living within the Lake Stevens School District boundary is eligible to register for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
In Loving Memory of Terri Spencer
Terri Spencer, one of the original Founders of the Lake Stevens Education Foundation, passed away November 25, 2019. Among Terri’s numerous contributions to the Lake Stevens community, she cared deeply about education; pouring her heart, soul, and expertise into leading LSEF from the 1990s - 2015 as our President. If you were to put a face to the definition of selflessness, it would be that of Terri Spencer.
Innovative Teaching and Learning Grants
We are dedicated in our support of the Lake Stevens School District and give approximately $20,000 per year, in Innovative Teaching and Learning Grants. Education grants can support school year projects, summer program projects, or be targeted for use in the following school year. Proposals are received two times a year, in April and October, and are reviewed by the LSEF Grant Comittee. Grant awards will be based on merit, individual teachers, teams/departments, or schools may submit grants.
